Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Review

Tonight I had the pleasure (at a very early time) to enjoy an Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Maduro. Methinks it was a Petit Belicoso Maduro, but I do know it was a generous gift from a fellow BOTL. Now, onto the cigar! I started out with a good bottle of water and the cigar. Prelight draw was nice, sweet but tangy. Lit it up, burned well, only needed a few slight touch-ups. As far as taste, it was smooth, but a fiery coffee-like flavor, with hints of unsweetened chocolate, and extended hints of yummy. All in all, a nice cigar (even if it left my throat parched and me a little shaky).

Re: Indian Tabac Super Fuerte

I smoked on of these in natural yesterday and wasn't impressed...was kind of bland. BUT, I also had just finished a Padron 1926 series so maybe that spoiled it. I have a maddie resting in my humi to try so maybe it will be better than the nattie.

FWIW -- The IT's seem to be time sensitive...

For example (and this is PURELY SUBJECTIVE!), I smoked a Nationales last month, and it left a sort of "dry" feel in my mouth. I gave the same smoke a try the night before last, and it left me with the "Nutty-Touchy-Feelies"!

I LIKED IT!!! But only after it had some time to rest.

One of my favorites! I smoke either a Toro or a Belicoso from this line almost every day. Your review matches with my usual experience - coffee, dark chocolate and very rich aged tobacco flavors. IMHO these are twice the cigar at half the cost of Rocky Patel's Vintage series.

I had my first IT Super Fuerte Natural Robusto yesterday and it was awsome! The cigar was smooth yet very flavorful. It also gave me one hell of a buzz.

Tried one of these, and didn't too much care for it.

Re: Indian Tabac Super Fuerte

Got a 5ver of the Maduro Belisco from the 666 site last week(after listening to Dog Watch. I'm easily peer-pressured)

Smoked one tonight and I was very impressed. I'm a Padron, CAO Brazilia kind of guy and these were right up there in every aspect...construction, burn, and taste (especially taste). Don't let the 'Super Fuete' scare you. It's a smooth and well-balanced smoke for cheap.

I love these things. I picked up a bundle of 25 last month from the devil's auction block. Not a bad haul for $40.00, and at that price, I don't mind sharing with mooching professors.

Re: Indian Tabac Super Fuerte

Several years ago, when the Super Fuerte line was first introduced, I couldn't get enough of them. But now I fear that the blend has changed and I'm not enjoying them as much as I once did. Aren't these made only for CigarBid now, and might that have something to do with a changed blend?

Re: Indian Tabac Super Fuerte

I was actually about to write a review of these until I saw this.

I smoked one of these last night. I sat down with my few friends after our last ever high school orchestra concert- it was a celebration smoke.

I grabbed this- in maduro and it must've been 5 or 6 inches at about 50rg (sorry don't know the specs, my friend got this in a sampler and offered it to me since I didn't have my smokes at his house).

I love the box pressed shape, feels very nice in my fingers and my mouth. The wrapper was great, soft and velvety.

I cut the cap and took a prelight draw- tasted slightly sweet.

I lit it up with my torche and the smoke- pretty much the whole way through- was quite sweet with a little spice and was [I]very[I] smooth. When I had about 2 inches left the spice did pick up a bit. The smoke took a little over an hour and I still had an inch and a half or so left.

I really dug the flavor.

But I am afraid that I had to touch up the burn 3-5 times. This may have been because of the wind. But it did touch up quite nicely.

I was quite glad that the cap did not unravel at all, as it was the first cigar that I cut instead of punching it.

I would say 6 or 7 out of 10.

EDIT- I was also wondering why they called this a super fuerte. I didn't have much of a buzz at all (although I was relaxed) and the spice was not super, super full (I feel that the La Perla Habana Black Pearl Cobre was quite a bit more spicy but I am a new smoker and my palate may be changing). Good stick though.

No, the Super Fuertes are still distributed through independent tobacconists. One of the local shops here in Memphis sells them.

You may be thinking of the Indian Tabac Limited Reserves, which use to be sold at B&Ms for about $4/ea, but now are sold for $2 exclusively through CigarsInternational (the parent company of CigarBid).
