Glad you enjoyed it.
Great value for sure. I have a box of 3000Ms from '06 that keep getting better and better. Gotta love the burn on them too!

Can someone help me understand the differences in the X000 series? I have smoked a few of the 3000's and enjoyed them and was wondering about the rest of the line.

They are all good smokes. Th number 2000, 3000, etc. just means the vitola.

yeah I think its the same tobacco blend just a difference in the size and shape as madurolover said.

Jimbo14 - I like the Maduros better in this line but its all personal preference.

They are fantastic cigars. The entire x000 line is great. I prefer the 3000 maddies but I love the 2000's as well. The best part is that they are very inexpensive.

Since you were the one who resurrected this thread, I will aim my comments to your query.

I have smoked two vitola of the X000 offerings. The 2k is absolutely the dogrocket of the line. It sucks and it sucks OUT LOUD! It's so bad as to be barely smokable and if I wasnt as poor as I am, I'd have thrown both of them into the pool. On another note, the 4k is a very impressive, great-tasting and impressive smoke. Well worth the price of admission.

Padron makes some great cigars. The 2000 is the exception to that rule.

What makes the 2000 a dogrocket? I thought the only difference between the 2k and 4k was the size of the cigar. I understand that different sizes affect the taste of a cigar but I thought not so much as to make one great and the other terrible!

Re: Padron 2000 Review

FWIW, I had a Padron 2000 that I received as a part of a sampler. It was great! Smooth and sweet tobacco from beginning to end.

Apparently, your mileage will vary with the Padron 2000 experience.

Thanks for the review! I've been interested in trying Padron cigars but wasn't sure where to start, but thanks to you I have a good idea.

I dont know, but the two taste nothing alike to me. Another member on another thread, far more literate on the subject than I, confirmed that there are slight differences in the blends/tobaccos across the x000 line, but I can't recall what he said. All I know is that I gave it what I consider a fair (enough) shake and it just tasted like burning lawn refuse. I have one left that Im taking to work with me today to give to the friend who recommended them. He think's theyre great.

Re: Padron 2000 Review

I've never had a Padron be a dog rocket. I've had a couple from my box of 2k's that were off (bad draw/construction) but damn good otherwise. Matter of fact, it's time to get another box of 2k's. This time i'll get a 1/2 and 1/2 of naturals and maddies.

Re: Padron 2000 Review

Interesting about the differences between the x000 line. I will have to buy a few sticks from each size to see which one suits me best. Thanks for the heads up though.
