Padron 2000 Review

Hi Again. Im on a roll now

Last night i smoked my first padron!!! Ive read so much about these cigars. Now for those that read my first review(Onyx reserve Toro) i listed most of the 130 cigars i bought from USA whilst on holiday. Since im a newbie, ive been wanting to save my best cigars till last, but i just cant help it...i got the bug!!!

I went straight for a Padron 2000 maduro.

Look - Nice dark color wrapper. not as shiny as some of my other cigars. The band on it looks like a montecristo copy.

Draw - I cut the cap, toasted the end and a lovely sweet and bitter coffee smell was produced. I took a puff and smiled The unique Padron taste that ive been reading so much about. The draw produced was nice. Good volume of smoke.

Taste - I love this cigar. Its definitely a medium/full bodied smoke and i got loads of flavors. Coffee, spice, chocolate. Great flavor. Very moreishhh.

Overall i have to say that this is one of my favorites so far. The burn was mostly even and although it got a little hot in the last 3rd, i just had nub it. I got 4 more of these so im gonna leave them to rest for a while.

I cant get padron's in the UK and that i think sorta makes up for the fact that you dont have cubans in the states

9/10

Padron x000 series are some seriously good smokes at an affordable price.

The Padron 2000 is a fine cigar, I have two partial boxes in my cooler.

The 2000 maduro is my favorite go to everyday type smoke. I put about 1 year on them in the humi before I smoke them. They are one of the best values around.

Re: Padron 2000 Review

Once I get all my singles smoked up, Padron 2000 is the only thing I'm buying anymore. Just gonna stock up boxes of em. Best smoke there is IMO.

I've got a couple from a trade from 2002 I've not tried yet, but I've found that some boxes are just as good if not better straight off the truck, with a couple days in the humi to settle.

Re: Padron 2000 Review

Nice review - count me as a big fan of the Padron x000.

It's almost an injustice to refer to any of the Padon x000 seires as a "great value". Don't get me wrong, it's true, they are a great value; there is tremendous bang for the buck. I've said it before myself, and I know that like me, no harm or disrespect is meant by others when refering to these Padrons in that fashion.

My point is that "great value", for many of us, may conjure up images of "yard-gars", or smokes that are decent or even pretty good only when their low price is considered. No one should confuse these Padrons with those bargain sticks. As far as I'm concerned, this is not the case for the Padron x000 series; they are great smokes, period, regardless of price.

Re: Padron 2000 Review

The padron 2000 is so cheap here in Australia. $13.50 for a robusto in unheard of here. Ill definantly have to get a couple.

Are the maduros or naturals better?
