Cao - cx2 toro Review

So ive lit up another cigar today. It was a hard choice between the Brazilia or the CX2. I decided to go for the worse one(according to reviews. I havent tried the Brazilia yet).

The cigar is pretty chunky and of a dark color. It has a double Cameroon wrapper which is really smooth and the roll is firm. This is a very well made cigar.

Pre-light draw felt abit tight but some nice flavours emerged. Once light the draw was clear, with nice amount of smoke.

The flavor is pretty creamy but im finding it quite hard to assign a description to what im tasting. Maybe herbal....hmmmm.... not sure...Definitely different to what i have tasted before, but in a nice way.

Overall im pretty impressed with this cigar. Its really really smooth with no harshness at all. Ash holds firm and is a light gray color.

8/10

This stick is on my list to try. Famous Smoke gave me a free one with the Padron sampler I just got in.

I received one of these as well as a "freebie".

Unfortunately, my ability to discern "tastes" is not at a point where I can say I tasted this or tasted that. However, I can say that I thouroughly enjoyed this smoke.

It has gone on my list of those to add to my rotation.

Nice review. That cigar is one of my favorites from CAO. Too bad that the
CX2 line has reached it's end.

I thought I read somewhere that they will be now made for exclusively for Famous Smoke under one of their house brands.

I wish I remember where I read it--pretty sure it was on the internet. I just did a brief search. I found a comment in another forum that said that they would be re-branded and made available through another source. It didn't list the source. So, I've seen it mentioned twice. I'm pretty sure Famous took them because I order a lot from Famous and it stuck out when I read it. Your best bet may be to just call Famous and ask them.

Re: Cao - cx2 toro

I just received an order from Famous Smoke Ship and they tossed in a freebie. It was a CAO CX2. It was in a special cardboard box that says the following:

"Famous Smoke Shop proudly presents CAO CX2 exclusive".

It appears that Famous will be the exclusive seller of the CX2. So what I read appears to have been correct.

Just thought you guys would like to know....

Re: Cao - cx2 toro

Just got through smoking this stick. This was the robusto that was given as a freebie. Initially, the cigar gave off a great plume of smoke with even lighting, but required relighting at times. Throughout the smoking experience I tried to detect different nuances in flavor, but to no avail. The cigar's cameroon wrapper did not give off the sweet flavor compared to other cigars and I figure it was due to the grade. I felt as if I was smoking a wooden stick. I really wish this was a better smoke. By the way, it sat in my humidor for 2 months once it got here and it is at 70rh. Oh well, there are others.
