Shape: Torpedo Wrapper: Ecuador Filler: Dom. Rep. Binder: Dom. Rep. ![]() The wrapper is perfect color, with some visible veins. The body is very hard, but it's not that stuffed, I think it's mostly because I had this bad boy in a 62% humi. The smell is nice, but again, the color, wow..... ![]() I made a mall cut and took a cold draw. The taste was similar to the RP Sun Grown I had a while back. I also tasted some earth and spice as well, no maduro, but still you can never complain about spice in a cigar. ![]() The initial light was very nice. A solid smoke, ash as white as snow, very beautiful. As far as taste goes, I felt something I could only describe as Sun Grown, since I also tasted it in the RP, but at the same time some a little spice, and a decent amount of earthly flavor. A few of you may have read my review on the Indian Tabac Maduro, and if you have you know I am not a fan of earthly flavor, but in this case it was a nice complement to the mix of flavors taht I was getting. ![]() One of my few issues in this smoke was the uneven burn. I blame it on my cheap/half broken torch that couldn't get me a nice even light. I tried using the torch again to fix the burn, but I feel like it was lost cause as it would break the Ashe into something I was not happy with. ![]() Now it's all nice, the burn is even, the ash is looking nice, and I'm Happy .There's a couple of cracks, but cracks, but this cigar seems to hold up, and just burn through them. I think it's because it has a thick wrapper, actually I think it's the tickest wrapper I've ever seen, personally. The flavor is still there, the earthly flavor comes and goes, and now there's a new flavor, more of an oaky/woody flavor that I'm enjoying very much. ![]() Still holding strong, and as you see in this picture a little crack on the edge, but I don't fear anything, it's been burning very nice. There was some draw problem, but I cut a little bit more off the end, and now it's very nice. Actually this cigar has a very strong and bold smoke. I think this cigar is a Rich and flavorful RP-Sun Grown. That's how I seem to look at it. The woody flavor has become the dominent flavor, and I'm loving it. ![]() At this point the spice has become stronger. I guess I forgot to mention how the spice kept coming and leaving, but this time it came back, and it came back to stay. Very delicious ![]() What I have right now with this cigar, if I could have it for the full duration of the smoke, I would make this cigar my favorite ever. It's beautiful. Strong smoke, strong spicy flavor, nice even burn, and a beautiful ash. What else could I have asked for? ![]() At this point in the cigar I was in the clouds. I just quit writing and taking pictures, I just enjoyed it to the very end 4.5/5 stars for this cigar. Just wish it would have tasted like this from the beginning. Overall: Great color Great look Strong wrapper (burns through a crack) Slow start Beautiful ending! ![]() |
