Thumbs up God bless AMERICA

Story: I get this text form Mr. Gurkha(Bob) himself that reads “Tinderbox tonight”. I couldn’t pass up the chance to go hang out with some great guys and try a new cigar. So my buddy and I head up there to meet him. After looking and looking I had it narrowed down to the CAO America or the Oliva Serie G. I ended up going with the CAO.

Cigar: CAO America Torp.
Body: Medium-Full
Strength: Medium
Construction: This cigar was very well constructed. Has the dual wrapper which made it look nice and pretty.

Pre light: Got it cut and was taking some draws to see how the cut felt. Draw felt nice and loose just how I like my cigars, not my women though.

First light: At first light I fell in love with this cigar. It was full of flavors ranging from nutty, leathery, and had a hint of coffee that was coming through. Had a nice aroma from what I could tell due to 10 other cigars being smoked close by.

Half way mark: That was when the cigar seemed to come to life even more. The flavors started to really come out. The mixture of coffee and leather was a nice blend together. While the light nutty taste seemed to fade away.

Nearing the end: this cigar just kept getting better and better. The flavors stayed consistent from about ¼ smoked all the way till the end. At the end it did start to get nice and hot like most cigars I have smoked do.

This was a great medium strength cigar. It was just strong enough to fulfill my wants. After smoking a FDO gold last and being disappointed in how weak it was this was a nice rebound cigar to bring the flavors back.

So now, who has some America or Brazilia they want to get rid of?
