Anyway, pm sent. I'll take care of our Brother. It is very rare for this blend to not draw well.
I do like the Camel Toe pic though!

If you guys EVER have a problem with my product, call me on my cell phone. If you don't have it, pm me. Most of my customers have my cell # on my business card.

Hi Rob,

it was punched, and i know that a punch concentrates the draw and sometimes might make it a bit smaller, but this thing almost made me faint trying to suck it down.

Than kyou for being a stand up guy!!!

Re: Stars and Stripes -Taboo Barber Pole gone South

I bought a box of the Taboo Twist Churchills (Twist is the name, barberpole is what it looks like) a couple of months ago and my experience with them has been the total opposite of yours. I will admit to an uneven burn with my first one but it was right out of the box about 15 minutes after it was delivered. I haven't had a problem with the rest of them.

In fact, I had one Friday night and it was a very please 2 hour smoke. The ash burned straight and didn't fall off until it was over 3 inches long. I didn't have to retouch or relight it at any time. I keep my box in a cooler at 65% humidity and my "ready to smoke" cigars in a desktop at the same RH. I don't use a punch though as my preference in a cigar this size is a V cut.

All that being said, it was a very good review and the one you smoked was definitely a problem. I would suggest trying a few more and seeing if it changes your opinion.

Well, seeing the quick and upfront, stand up position that Rob took on this I am definitely going to have to buy a sampler.

Having an organization with that level of committment to customer service in this day and age is inspiring.

I look forward to doing business with you Rob.

Re: Stars and Stripes -Taboo Barber Pole gone South

Nice review, I haven't had any problems with the twists and a tight draw, but I have had some weird burns between the wrappers. Now I did have one of ther specicial forces boot Camps that had what sounds like a similier draw problem, and it was cut not punched. Being a noob I figured it was to damp still and should have sat in the humi longer. I have another one, I'm letting sit for a while before I try it again. I had had high hopes for it, but with the bad draw just couldn't enjoy it. Since I know the twists are good, I won't let a bad draw keep me from trying the SFBC again.

Replacements on the way, Brother. This is rare with this blend, should not happen again.
Have a great evening

Awe man. Bob is this the one I sent you? This is one my favorites to smoke, along with the Costa Rican, the HSM and the SFO and the....nevermind. Anyhow, I agree that you might just had a lemon.

These cigars are great, I am hoping to stop by and meet these guys in person while here in TX this week.

Re: Stars and Stripes -Taboo Barber Pole gone South

There are some brands of cigars that don't draw well with a punch. Some looser smokes like padron X000's series i believe draw better with a punch. If a cigar draws tight with a punch clip it before it gets soggy. Also punch seems to concentrate the tar and resin at the tiny hole.
