Review:
A very well constructed cigar with an oily, milk-chocolate colored wrapper. The cigar is snugly rolled creating a firm, but ample draw. Initial flavors are toasty and nutty with a smooth creamy finish. About 1/4 of the way through, some aromatic spiciness enters in to round out the finish. This is a good smoke. Reminds me of the Perdomo Lot 23 Robusto. I would gauge the Habana Reserve more medium than full bodied, but it does increase in strength as it warms up. Very enjoyable. Recommended.

Nice review. I have to say, I like the Habana Reserve. But only in the corona and torpedo. The robusto and churchill rg is too fat for me. I've said it before, I am a sucker for Nic. baccy.

I also got my first one in a sampler. I'm new to reviewing cigars, so I would be interested to know your impressions of this one too.

I love the R & J Habana Reserve. I usually smoke the corona or Robusto. Great cigar for the price!!

Re: RYJ Habana Reserve Robusto

Just my opinion here, but this is one of my least favorites in the R&J line. I don't know why, I just did not care for it. Not saying it is a bad cigar, just not for me.

Re: RYJ Habana Reserve Robusto

I just had the Churchill out of the sampler on Saturday night. It wasn't a bad cigar by any means but it didn't overwhelm me. I really liked the initial flavor off the first 1-2 inches, but then it kinda moved into a so-so cigar and some of the flavor went away. After about an hour and 45 minutes I put the last 3 inches down as it wasn't going any where and I had to constantly puff on it to keep it going.

I am looking forward to the other sizes to see if it was just a problem with too much cigar.
