Several weeks ago I was gifted this cigar along with five other cigars in a pass I was involved in & decided to take it for a test drive seeing as I had never had one... this is my first official review (on a board that is) so be gentle.
I put this cigar away so that it would acclimate to my ideal temp/humidity before I gave it a go... a couple of weeks later here I am...on with the show! ![]() Picture is for reference only as I did not have a digi to document the process. Upon inspection it had a nice sheen and seemed as if it was properly stored/aged. No big veins but a bit rounded out from it's original shape as these are boxed pressed, nicely constructed, chocolate colored wrapper and triple cap nicely tucked tucked into itself, the seam was barely visible, the result of a skilled roller at work. Pre-light draw was perfect just the right amount of resistance and air flow, not to loose not to tight. I lit a nice cherry and took a few pulls to ensure an even burn. Medium to full-bodied depending on your palate it had an initial dry and spicy aroma after a few moments I purged, and drew again, a waft of smokey blue deliciousness overcame my senses... mind you it's my first cigar of the day. At 1" the ash, grey but marbled with black stripes & spots indicated o me that it could have spent some more time in the humi breaking down the tannins, allowing all of the tobacco to combust providing for a truely married cigar. I noticed that the ash furtherst from the cherry would take on a light brown tinge after cooling. Mid way I tasted hints of toast with a moderate finish that lingers on the palate and seemed to hang around longer the deeper you get, flavors midway resembled Rockys 90-92 vintage and ushered in a leady taste in the final 1/3 along with considerable harshness. I had to touch up this cigar twice but aside from that no burn issues, the only neg aspect that I can point out. Overall a good cigar for the price. A 7 out of 10 on my bang for the buck meter. ~Until next time~ The Sherv

Re: Reo - EO/Rocky Patel
Nice review! I think the Reo is a great value as well. They can be had on CBid for super cheap.

Re: Reo - EO/Rocky Patel
I enjoyed writing the review although I doubt I would be smoking any more of these puppies in the near future but thanks for the feedback!!!
