Sick Phillies Blunt Banana Cigarillo Review

Last week, tempted by the huge powerball prize, we decided to hop across the border to Indiana to buy a few tickets. You know how these things go, the first place across the border is usually some filthy armpit. In this case it was a sad little gas station with the clerks behind glass. As I stood waiting as my wife visited the (vile no doubt) restroom, I noticed that they had Phillies Blunt Banana Cigarillos. I remembered SeanGAR's glowing review of the Strawberry flavor, so I figured I better try them.

Took it out of the wrapper, and sure enough, it smelled like a banana (albeit a rotten one). I lit it up, soon noticing the sweetened wrapper that seems to be in vogue with gas station cigar buyers. Took a few puffs. The smoke was harsh, dry, stale, bitter, with just a hint of banana. Turns out the banana is really more noticeable in the smell of the smoke, and the wrapper flavoring. But it is there - the kind of flavor that makes me think a paper bag was smeared with a rotten banana, thrown in a puddle for a week, then left out to dry, before being rolled into this cigarillo.

Ultimately it was just vile - I only managed to suffer through a half inch (10 puffs or so).

I bought 3, so some lucky soul may receive one someday...

I nothing else, sir, I believe that you deserve a medal for your courage and valor!!!

I've often thought that smoking one of those banana or strawberry thingies should be an event on the "Fear Factor" program. Then again, it WOULD be kinda' cool to watch them smoke a cockroach!

Well ...DUH .... of course the BANANA sucked.

Now had you followed my advice and tried the Strawberry blunt, you would have gotten in at least 12 puffs.

you guys are missing the best flavor of all.
Grape (i'm serious)

Not sure if it's phillie or white owl who makes them.
Regardless,

It's like smoking grape kool-aid,
and it's pure bliss.

It's nice to see that I'm not alone in trying out these various flavored sticks. Just can't seem to pass them up when I see a new one on display somewhere. Unfortunately, most are so bad as to be unsmokeable. The one exception I have found is Antonio y Cleopatra Honey Berry. These taste pretty good and I have found that people universally comment on their pleasant aroma.

Ba da bing. I was working in New Orleans last week and the guy toting me around lit one in the truck - it smelled great.

Sick Re: Phillies Blunt Banana Cigarillo

A suggested pairing, if I may, would be a fine rum such as Capt. Morgans to compliment the banana nuances in the Phillies Blunt
