PI Perla Natural... That familiar "tang"

I'm not trying to push the Puros Indios line... In fact, I'm partial to the heavier maduros... But I can't help but give this little stinger a thumb up!

When the package of five PI Perlas arrived, my intention was to bury it in a coolerdor and forget about it. But I plucked one out. Dinner was running late, and I knew I'd have less than an hour for my smoke afterword.

This little thing didn't fail me.

CONSTRUCTION & BURN:
What can I say about a short smoke!? Not too many of them will give you a problem... And if they do, the toilet is readily available! This one is good, with just a bit of faltering along the vein, though no correction was required.

LAP TIME:
About 40 minutes, give or take a pit stop.

BODY & FLAVOR:
Body is on the north side of medium, and flavor is on the north side of nuts & spice. This is where the IPs really get me! There's a certain "tart" flavor that I can't describe, except to say that a sqeeze of lime juice in an otherwise good batch of chili can make it an excellent chili!

OVERALL:
Cheap, short, and good. It's not a weekend smoke. It's a short smoke to cap off a good lunch.

(As usual, my impressions are purely subjective)

Re: PI Perla Natural... That familiar "tang"

Nice review. I haven't yet had a PI, of any variety, but I am inching closer with reviews like yours.
