Occidental Reserve Double Mad Robusto Review

MAN, I LOVE THIS CIGAR!

Looks like a big, round candy bar. A dark, chocolately, oily wrapper that says "come on up and get some". Good construction, nice and firm to the touch.

This one lit perfectly and burned nearly so with a medium draw that was just right IMHO. Never had to touch it up.

Smoking this was very pleasurable indeed. Started nice and mellow, with the natural sweetness of the tobacco front and center. First drop occurred 1-1/2inches in, only because I bumped (dammit) my hand on the arm of the chair. Caught hints of cedar and a little spice about halfway, but never anything harsh or overpowering. Stayed at this level till I begrudgingly put it down with about an inch and a quarter left. Finish was short and pleasant.

I picked these up at a local B & M for $2.50 per stick, but I've seen them on the internet for as low as $42.06 a bundle (25) at lynnscigars.com. I'm sure there may be better at this price out there, but until I find one this is one cigar that will always have a spot in my humi.
