CAO Sopranos Review

Has anyone tried the CAO Soprano. My son bought me one last week and I smoked it on Saturday. Nice weather outside for Connecticut in January. I was really impressed with this one... I thought it was a little pricey for his wallet, but well worth it in the long run. They are not too easy to find. If you like a heavy smoke with a maduro you've got to try this one. I was impressed right down to the nub. Great appearance, burn, volume and taste.

great smoke. A bit pricey since HBO Is getting a cut, but still a first rate smoke.

I smoked one on Sunday myself. I thought it was a very good cigar, but a little high priced.

The word is that they are being discontinued because of slow sales, which is probably because of the high price.

You better go grab all you can now before they're gone.

that's odd, my local store went through their initial shipment in 2 days. They've been begging CAO for more.

Exactly. Nothing after the original order. Just heard from my CAO rep who threatened a meeting next week. We'll find out.............

CAO Sopranos

Thanks for the heads up Kevin. I had no idea that they were on the endangered species list. I'll just have to boogie on down the yellow brick road.

An "OK" cigar. Decent maddie flavor, but very one-dimensional. Woody and peppery but no Nic earthiness. I kept waiting for this cigar to kick it up and shift, but that never happened. An average smoke priced way too high for what it is. IMHO, stick with the eXtreme - a far better smoke at a much lower price.

With this, the MX2, and CX2, all I gotta say to CAO is: "Enuf with the gimmicks. How about just making a good Nic smoke?"

I just smoked one of the Associate (robusto) size. I really enjoyed it. Smoked it right down to the nub.

I know I'm bringing this topic back from the dead and sorry about that. I haven't tried one, but they did catch my eye when I was in the B&M by where I work the other day so if they are still hard to find and anyone still wants one shoot me a PM and I'll pick some up. For all I know though you guys can all find one pretty easily by now. I don't know what the price or quality or any of that rigamarole is though since I'm not even experienced enough to determine that yet, but if you want to, the offer's out there.

I bought the CAO Sopranos sampler at my local BM during a CAO event for $58.50 (4) sticks in a red gift/plastic box, and although pricey, I thought they were great. I didn't even let them sit around, and finished all four before the summer was out. Wish I had some more.

I stopped in and checked today. $14.49 per stick. Outta my price range unless they are the best thing ever and even then it would be rare.
