Onyx Vintage 1997 Review

Origin: Dominican Republic
Length: 4.50
Ring: 50
Strength: Medium
Wrapper Color: Dark Brown (M)
Wrapper Type: Mexico
Binder: Connecticut Broadleaf
Filler: NIC/PERU/BRA
Shape: Parejo

This 4 and ½ by 50 ring gauge stogie is a medium-bodied maduro with a rich, dark brown Mexican wrapper and a Connecticut Broadleaf binder. And its smooth surface and two black bands make this box-pressed stick quite pleasing to the eye.

This was gifted to me awhile back and today was the day to give it a try.

As it started off it produced savory nut and wood notes.

The tastes remained unchanged throughout the second and finishing phases.

Although it started to burn uneven after half way it quickly caught up and had a pleasent finish. This was either CM or Denny's or maybe Rick's gift. Would have to check on it.

After thoughts.

Not a cigar I would bring to the golf course. 3/4 through it got soft and I had to baby it along to the end. All and all. This is one that I will smoke again and will be looking for them at the shop. Good stick to shoot the shit with the BOTL.

THIS IS A GOOD TWO BEER CIGAR.
