Don Kiki Red Label Robusto Review

I recieved a new humidore for Christmas from my in-laws and inside was a CAO sampler and a few Don Kiki red and green label cigars. I had never heard of Don Kiki so I decided to smoke on today as I relax from all of the holiday madness. This is my first review so here goes nothing:
(I had to look some of the info up because I was not sure of the exact specs)

Don Kiki Red Label Robusto

Wrapper Colorado; A little rough around the edges but still pleasant to look at, slite oily sheen
Filler Cuban-seed long filler
Length 5"
Ring 50

Cut Straight
Lighter Torch
Burn The cigar lit evenly with only one minor touch up. At first I tasted mostly woody notes with some nutty highlights. The smoke was a bit harsh but quickly mellowed out. After the first 1/3 it remained nutty and turned sweet. The burn stayed even and smooth. The draw was full which did not surprise me because the cigar felt a bit soft.
Conclussion I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this stick. It turned into a very smooth pleasurable smoke with a sweet taste. I forgot to time how long it lasted but I would guess a solid 40 mins. It is not a top shelf cigar but definitaley a good one to hand out during poker or golf and it won't break the bank either. I would give this cigar a very solid C+.

Next time I will try to take some pics.[/u]

At first I wasn't going to post a review of this smoke because it is not a premium cigar but I liked it so I thought I would let everyone else know about it. I will keep smokin away and let you guys know about it

Oh, no. Don Kiki is mainstream. Long filler and all. Probably $5?

I've had a few Don Kiki's, I agree with the review as well. They're not a bad cigar. I've got a few friends that show up every now & then and wanna smoke a cigar with me, but they're not really BOTL's...they think any cigar is a good cigar really and I think these would be a good one to keep on hand for just such an occasion. They're not awesome, but they're not a dog turd either. Very well written review!
