Perdomo Reserve Golf Double Eagle Tubo Review

Its has been a while since I have really posted anything so I figured why not start with a cigar review.

Cigar: Perdomo Reserve Golf Double Eagle Tubo

Size: 7x54 Double Corona

Wrapper: Connecticut

I took this cigar out of the tube and removed the cello. The wrapper was medium brown in color with a few veins. Did a quick squeeze test of the cigar found it to be perfect not rock hard but definitely not to soft.

Clipped off the cigars cap did a pre-light draw found it to be fine. Lit the cigar with my table torch and sat back to see what the golf had to offer.

The first tastes were tart, metallic and bitter and medium in profile not a great start

1st quarter: The cigar lost the metallic tart bitterness and transitioned to a smooth earthy medium body flavor the cigar burned perfectly the ash was very firm and white/gray in color

Half way: The cigar kept its smooth earthy profile, No burn issues at all, Still medium bodied

3/4th: The cigar increased into even more intense earthy and leathery taste still smooth and medium in body, still no burn problems

Finish: Cigar finished medium in body with a strong earthy flavor no burn or construction issues
at all.

Overall Rating: 7 out of 10

This was my first perdomo golf and I must say it is a good cigar with great construction and beautiful presentation from the tube down to the band. This is how ever not my favorite blend by far from perdomo. Would I buy more? Yes It is good and cheap enough to have a few on hand. I have one left I will let it rest for 6 months and see what father time can do for this cigar.

Thanks for the review. Sounds a lot like the Lot 23's. My favorite Perdomo is the Habano Corojo.

Definitely not Perdomo's best offering. However, it's perfect for the golf course. Go figure.
