Thumbs up Taboo Limited Reserve Habano Robusto Review

Taboo Limited Reserve Habano Robusto 5 x 50

Smooth wrapper with a nice oily sheen, firm to the touch.

Pre draw hinted at some spice. Draw was as good as it gets.

Fired it up and was rewarded with a nice peppery zing, which lasted through the first third.

Burn was even, nice white ash held well, lots of smoke.

The spice disappeared and and the flavor became nutty, with a hint of sweetness. Very smooth and creamy.

In the last third the sweetness was replace with a bit of earthiness, but still nutty and smooth. More earth and a bit of leather at the finish. The ash became a little loose at the finish. Smooth to the last puff.

I enjoyed this smoke from first puff to last. Had to force myself to set this one down and am rapidly becoming a fan of Taboo.

Thanks for the review. I have become a big fan of Taboo. They have gotten me through the first third of the Wisconsin winter. If you haven't tried the Twist, do so. Easy on the wallet and better to the tastebuds.

Smoked two Taboo cigars today. The first was a value blend, with my morning coffee. It was the first of my third bundle. The second was a Toro Grande Twist, after a meal. It may be my imagination, but the flavor profile was surprisingly similar.

The Twist was a sweet, smooth and creamy smoke throughout, but lacked the spiciness I prefer in a smoke after a meal. No zing.

Good review....thanks

You talked me into this one for my next Taboo purchase.

My favorite so far is the HSG.

I picked a few of these up with a buddy and I can't say enough of these. Rob's regular line is out of this world and these are beyond this. I know Rob really did a lot of testing blends to get these and it shows.

We did a test run on this blend (LR Havana) in a 6x60 and it was incredible. We decided to make all the LR Blends in a 6x60 and they should be here soon. I will let you guys know when they are in.
Thanks for the review
Rob

Re: Taboo Limited Reserve Habano Robusto

Thanks for the review! Taboo is one of my favorites right now. They offer really nice smokes and super discounts. I will be coming back to Texas in a couple weeks and need to restock my supply, with some different ones I have not tried.

Thanks to this review and a partial push by the 24 hour promotion taboo is running today, I just ordered the 10 pack sampler, unfortunately, I don't believe it includes the limited reserve.

Rob, any chance you can toss one of them into my recent order?
