LGC Serie R Robusto Review
La Gloria Cubana Serie R #4
52 x 4.8" Finally some warmer weather to enjoy a cigar on the porch. Smoked this LGC in about an hour. Full-strength zesty punch from the beginning, with a nicotine zing. Initial flavors were a little one-dimensional though. Peppery. Nicotine. Warmed up a bit after about 10 minutes into a more toasty, but almost bread-like flavor with a slight spicy finish that would come and go. A couple times I got excited for what was about to happen, but it never did. Despite all the good reviews for this one, the flavors never did it for me, and the cigar never seemed to open up much. It burned well and was enjoyable, but the overall flavor profile seemed imbalanced. Perhaps more aging will help. First one for me, so still undecided. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: LGC Serie R Robusto
Agree with your impressions. Always looked forward to this smoke, but when I did get a chance I found it unbalanced and did not have a very nice profile. While I don't get hurt from nicotine, I was actually thinking I could tatse nicotine on my lips from this cigar - but I know that wasn't real. I was unimpressed, even with the Miami connection to the smoke. Thanks for the pics.
