Cool Macanudos Tinned Cigars

I bought a tin of Macanudos little cigars. A friend of mine who was into cigars long before me loved all Macs. I think they are very well made, taste great, and less filling! If someone likes a very mild but tasty little cigar it's for them. Just not enough there flavor-wise for me.

Finding cigarillos is definitely a challenge. I've had friends that have loved these (the Macs). I'm not to fond of them. The best cigarillo I've found so far is the Hoyo de Monterey Excalibur, in the red tin, I think.

Dave I didn't know you liked cigarillos, I would've sent you some Partagas Blacks, and a few La Gloria Cubanas I have. The LGC's are quite mild but the Party blacks pack some punch. The Cohiba clubs are also supposed to be tasty, and Camacho makes a small cigar that I would bet is decent.

Really prefer the ERDM Bon Bons ... gave them a boost on two threads? Anyway, can't find them locally so I buy the Ascot Robusto size ... I must be desperate for a cigar?

Re: Macanudos Tinned Cigars

In my experience the small cigarillos that come 10 to a tin are usually made with bad tobaccos and very veiny wrappers. The ones that come 5 or 6 to a tin are usually well made. Here are the ones I've had, all which i liked:

Camacho Corojo Machitos
Padron Corticos
Partagas Black Prontos

I've noticed that these small cigars put out an insane amount of smoke, for some reason. The Padron's especially.

Re: Macanudos Tinned Cigars

I like the little Macanudo ascots, they are very mild though as stated above. Of the pair I prefer the Maduro version myself. These are great when you don't have the time for a "normal" sized cigar, or Mid winter here in Canada in the garage .

I'll keep an eye out for the other ones mentioned here.

Not to highjack, But since we're talking about little cigars has anyone tried the "10 little indians" from Indian Tabac?

I would add the CAO and Torano tins as well!

How are the Partagas cigarillo ten packs (not the black)? I've heard conflicting reports.

The Monte Platinums are a good tin to smoke.

Dont forget the ashton senoritas I like these when the bar Im at clears out when the real stick gets lit. Kinda funny how a bar with 50 + people smoking cant handle the sweet smell of one cigar.

Re: Macanudos Tinned Cigars

The CAO Gold tins, called Karats, are a great small smoke. Though not as small as I think some of the other examples being given here, 4x38 I believe they are. Also Rocky Patel makes his Vintage line in the same size in tins, great smokes, however, I have only found those twice.

Yeah, the Juniors. Been wanting to try those. Thanks for reminding me! Also, forgot about the LFD's. Tasty.

They are good if you like the regular Partagas flavor. I am smoking through a tin right now that my friend shared with me. Mild, but flavorful

Re: Macanudos Tinned Cigars

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have yet to try any Rockey Patel products as they are not available in any of my local spots. So far the best little smokes I have enjoyed are the tins H. Upmann Aperitifs and the CAO Brazilia Caricoas. Big flavor for such little smokes.
