If my info is right, the ancient warrior is there regular cigar that they blend on a constant basis. They tend to buy limited amounts of tobacco so they are constantly blending new cigars. They don't keep years of supply for there cigars so they tend to be hit or miss.

It seems like there are two different theories about marketing cigars. Some companies make the same lines of cigars year after year and only rarely add a line extension. The other theory is have a new line of cigars every month or two and then they disappear completely in a year or two. Gurkha is clearly in the latter category. I'm smoking a G3 this morning. I never see those for sale anymore. The disadvantage of all these line extensions is the moment you find one you like, it goes away! I hate that.
I'm currently a little upset that I can't find any more Perdomo Cantero Cuban Cafe cigars. These have apparently been discontinued. Does anyone in the business know which Perdomo is closest (a replacement) to this blend? I bought a bunch of these on Cbid over the last several months and now they seem to have gone bye bye.

Personally love Gurkhas as you can tell by my avatar. I've never had a bad one. but I do wish they would not put out a new line every week then maybe their msrp's wouldn't be so high.

Someone somewhere will always pay a premium price to try a new cigar. Gurkha is aware of that.
![]() Like many of yal have said, I've had some good ones, I've had some so-so ones, and I've had some not so great ones. I dont purchase them because I dont feel like keeping up with their 500 different lines.

There are some I like (Ancient Warrior, X Fuerte) but I find them pretty annoying as a company for the "if it's Tuesday there must be a new Gurkha" practice everyone has mentioned and also for their ridiculous super-duper high-priced cigars (His Majesty's Reserve & the Black Dragon). It makes it a little hard to take them seriously IMO.

I have had one that I really like.... sadly I can't remember the name... but, it was a torpedo in that line that has the rough tobacco leaf foot. Anyway, I really enjoyed the cigar and I didn't feel like it was overpriced. I think I paid about $7 for it...

I agree that the gurkhas are a decent line overall, but they are a little too idealistic with their pricing...the gurkha line is good, but for the money, I can thing of other smokes to buy first.

I like most of the Gurkha's I've tried. Only one or two real standouts and never anything a full retail. Gurkha is about the only cigar I still buy online.

I just think they make wayyyy too many. I love the Legend and X-Fuerte though. They are getting ridiculous with their pricing.

to me and IMO a few of the lines taste about the same, the dobel maddies are my fav gurkhas so far along with the legends, master selects are alos pretty tasty, the x-fuerte and black puros to me almost tatse the same(lean more twords the black puros), the genghis kahn no bueno in my book(expected more), expedition was ok not all that impressed, nepeles warrior awsome, the reg regent i did not like(most peeps like em) i have a box of symphony commen in hopen its good(knock on wood) and some centurians wich ive heard good things about. as for the price ya know with all the fancy ink used for the bands and boxes they come in the $ has to come from some where to pay for it

I think I may be in the same boat as many of you. Seems to me that either you find Gurkha's overpriced with few faces at the local B&M or in hundreds of faces on the web with prices all over the board. There's always some "Steal" going on at Famous or CI that promises huge savings, only to see the cigars priced at what I would call "fair retail" with a sampler of some other of their line's included for free. I know of a few B&M's that won't carry Gurkha because of their unfair pricing scheme's online and their almost ridiculous product saturation (every other week a new faux line). I like a few of their cigars - Doble Maduro, Legend and Ancient warrior, but I wish they would rein in their lines. My 2¢.

It's insane how many lines they have, but I like the legend perfecto a lot. It can be had for a good price on CBid.
