Graycliff Emerald Candela Presidente Review

I know this is not in the official review format but I liked this format from one of the other posts so I borrowed. Kudos to the BOTL/SOTL the came up with it for a quick informal review.

Brand: Graycliff Emerald

Frontmark/Vitola/Size: Presidente

Wrapper: Candela (Yes it's green)

Binder: Unknown

Filler: Blend of Nicaraguan, Dominican and Brazilian tobaccos. It's a Graycliff Crystal with a candela wrapper.

Local / Online Sources: RARE (Average price when found $20-$25/ea.)

Prelight Draw: Sweet with subtle hints of green tea

Light: Used a Cheepie 2 blade to cut the cap and lit with my best Colibri

Drink: Joe Tea w/ ginseng, ginko & guarana

Smoking the Cigar:
The fist light was fantastic. Mild at first then building up to an almost naturally sweet smoke. I smoked the first third very slow, every puff filled the room with a white bloom of smoke. The quality is immaculate and the stick is nearly perfect in every way, plus its freakin' green which always wierds me out when smoking candelas.

The middle third was even better. The taste and smell remind me of fresh cut grass or an open field. This is by far the best candela I have ever had and one of the best cigars I have ever had. Needed a little touch up in the middle as it started to canoe but was easily fixed.

The back third was great! Very consistant taste and smoke. Nubbed it down to less then an inch.

Ash: Solid, bone white ash throughout.

Conclusions/Comments: The tobacco is not complex and the taste is the same throughout the cigar. And that was the best part! This was clearly in the top 5 cigars I have ever smoked. The price is high but the quality is insanely good, it has great taste and it's a candela!

My Scale for rating is as follows:
Appearance: 1-10
Construction: 1-10
Burn: 1-10
Taste: 1-60
Value: 1-10

For this cigar:
A-10
C- 9.5
B- 8.5
T- 59
V- 4.0
For a total score of: 91
