Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve Maduro Review

The OWR is my favorite as well. One of the great things is that the price has gone down in a lot of markets on these smokes. The Toro (in the review) can easily be had in Tampa for under $11, and on a good sale day, under $9.

Thanks for the review. I have 1 OWR Corojo and 2 OWR Maduros resting in the humi right now. I am having difficulty letting them rest for this long.

The maduro wrapper I think is the key here, as the previous experiences I have had with the OWR Corojo cigars, has not been nearly as enjoyable.

Chris--Right on- bluntly the corojo was a DR--I just tried the maduro after trading with Jitzy and letting them sit for a while-What a difference!!!
I would actually go for a 8.9 on this bad boy

The Olde Worlde Reserves maduro are becoming my number 1 in my top five.
The only problem is their availability.
I have 2 OWR corojo's in my humidor I have not smoked yet.

This is my absolute favorite smoke (right now). I bought a box of ten a while back and I've been taking my time enjoying them. Really great.

I got a couple of these OWR Maduro lanceros in a RP sampler - Lord, what a great smoke! That wrapper is just loaded with flavor, I tasted some licorice in addition to the previously mentioned ones. The lancero is a box-pressed delight!

Wow! Looking at the prices quoted earlier in the thread makes me cringe. I just (actually at the beginning of July) picked up a fiver from Famous in Easton Pa for $26.99 . When looking thru the cigar list, look under "Old World Reserve', and not Rocky Patel. They are currently in stock.
