Copped out for a Sherpa...
PREFACE:
I'm in the final stages of filling a tabletop with 45 sticks for my Dad's birthday. Of course, I want to include finer examples of what at least 8-10 makers have to offer, including a few super-premiums. Need a smoke to get me through the sifting and shuffling of what exists in the coolerdors... Come upon a Sherpa "Grand Master" churchill... It's been down for a few months, so I'll see what she can do. CONSTRUCTION / BURN: Though properly humidified, the wrapper flaked... NOT because of the cigar itself, but because it seems that they used Super-Glue on the band to assure that it would stay in place! Ahh well... Ripped the band off, stripped the wrapper to the point that the thing was bare-nekid up to about two inches from the head.. Clipped her... Torched her... he burned well, but required three corrections. Draw was "medium"... Not so tight that it gives you hikkies on the inside of your cheeks... Not so loose that your tongue suffers heat-blisters. BODY / FLAVOR: Definitely a mild, wanting to be a medium... A nice, tart, mild acidity to the flavor. OVERALL: This is a cigar that doesn't distract you from your task, but enhances it. The Sherpa likes some time to rest, though she'll do her best to please upon arrival. TASTE is her forte... And with the occasional slosh of your favorite beverage to cleanse the palate, she will award you. (As usual, my impressions and opinions are purely subjective) |

I completely agree with your review, it is a smoke that goes with the activity at hand, it is not a cigar that steals the show. |

That's a great line, Palm. I agree, by the way. UNobtrusive, yet tasty. |
