Such a nice smoke - Hansotia Gold
I just had my first K. Hansotia Gold collectors edition smoke; what a nice smoke throughout the whole thing. I only let it rest for about 7 days before curiosity got the best of me, and man I'm glad I tried it.
A deep dark brown wrapper covered in a cedar sleeve. I opened the thing and was hit by an aroma that was cedary and sweet. I fouled up the light but the stick self corrected itself within the first 2 inches (it wasn't until the last 2 inches that the burn became uneven again). The first couple of inches yielded spiciness but then gave way to a smoother cedary taste. This thing introduced me to lots of different tastes throughout the smoke. The aroma was pleasant with spice and a sweet caramel kind of smell, very much like the taste of the smoke itself. I was enjoying this while watching my twins boys playing with the younger kids in my neighborhood. The evening weather was just fine and cooling down from the higher temps of the day. As I was smoking it, one of the tastes I was put in mind of was a chocolate covered caramel, you know, the kind my wife gets in boxes of candy for Valentines day...very nice. Around the middle of it, the spiciness came back and was coupled with a creamy caramel sweetness but, there was a fruity berrylike taste that showed itself as well; now that surprised me! I figured the smoke had shown me all that it had to show me. After that there was a chocolatey spiciness that carried it the remainder of the way. I smoked this puppy down to the nub and didnt mind at all There was no harshness that close to my nuckles and the smoothness stuck around until I couldn't smoke it anymore. This was a medium smoke and the highlight of it for me was all of the different tastes, which I wasn't expecting at all. What a nice smoke I recommend this one to anyone interested in a fine cigar.

Re: Such a nice smoke - Hansotia Gold
Good review. The Hansotia gold is a fine smoke-I had a few of these several months ago and I was quite impressed, especially for the price. Much better than the Dutch East India....
