RP Vintage 1990 Euro revisited

I just had one of these, a torpedo, part of a fiver I won. I wasn't sure about the purchase or the smoke. But, upon lighting it I could tell within the first 2 inches there was more to it.
The wrapper is slightly veiny with some toothiness. The pre-light draw was tasty. No problem with the light and the draw was just right.
Within the first inch it was smooth and spice barely detectable. But, it had a definite character to it. The burn was straight and true and the ash was a solid and tight grey. The taste and flavor were coffeee like with a kind of subdued hearty earthiness (in the first half). Then I began to sense subtle changes overall in taste and flavor; the spices kicked in and the earty, coffeeelike flavors did as well. At the second half of it, there was a sudden blast of spice and a sweet creaminess came outta nowhere. This smoke has been described as mild to medium, I disagree. This is definitely a medium blend but masked by the smooth and subtle flavors. It burned true, and smooth the entire duration of the smoke, and it took about an hour for me before I ended it with 3/4 inch left.
I don't know anything about the regular RP Vintage but, this Euro is a definite keeper, and one I am happy to have more of. I read the January reviews of this type in here, and recommend a second look at em This is a good smoke, and I'm glad CI decided to add them to their inventory.
