I'd volunteer my house, right on the IL/WI state line for a BBQ herf, but there might be other, more central locations. I'm still in the mood for a BBQ herf, no matter where we are. I have some tasty treats from Gerry (Howland) to slap on the fire.

Hey Brent... I'm curious... do you plan on doing the actual reviews at the herfs or just giving the sticks out at the herfs? My thought process is something I have kind of kept to myself in regards to the reviews... having people discuss them in a group setting might not give you a true reflection of someone's thoughts. Mainly because we all want to fit in or agree with the masses. If everyone is raving over the cigar and one person doesn't really like it for whatever reason, they might not want to speak up for fear of being the *******.

Again, just my .02

A Two Prongs attack, and I have been talking with a copmany rep from one of the manufacturers about this. Some of the cigars will be smoked at the herf if people want, then we can BS about them. Others will be sent home with people. Sort of free choice. Obviously if someone cannot make it to the herf and I send them out they will be done in private.

This time for the first go around, there will be one stick that we hopefully will all smoke at the herf, and that is an aged cigar review, rather and a manufacturers donation.

Hope that clears it up a little, PM me and I'll fill you in some more...

I've thought about this too, but with our group, I don't think there would be an issue. We have no problem slamming a cigar if it deserves it. Great thing about our herfs is that it's like we've known each other for years, so there's no animosity or nervousness about letting opinions be known.

From the looks of it, it sounds like this is going to be a herf not to be missed. We might have to steal your idea and use it here in Texas too.

Now if I can only get the guys and gals here to drop the barbeque and pick up a review sheet at this months upcoming herf.

Not going to happen Daniel LOL Besides I hope it works out just fine for them but I don't want to review anything at our herfs. They have become so large lately its hard enough getting to talk to everybody that is there!
