Anejo #48 Review

Attachment 13862So today's cigar of choice was a 4 year old Anejo #48, this was something that I've been aging for a while now to really let everything come together. So I'm going to do my review a little different today, the first difference is I'm going to a 100 point scale which will be broken down like this:

Apearance
Construction
Draw
Taste
and finally complexity (if the cigar has different dimentions)

on apearance I'm going to give it a 8 out of 10
construction 8 out of 10
draw 10 out of 10
taste 37 out of 40
complexity 28 out of 30

For a grand total of: 91
The one thing that truly got me with this cigar was you could actualy taste that these where aged in cognac barrels it had that taste come thru every so often while I was smoking it. I have to say this was a very very good cigar I'm glad I have one left from that purchace because its hard to leave these and let them age but boy is it worth it.

I don't like flavored cigars and wouldn't really call these flavored but the aging in the cognac barrels adds such a subtle balance to the cigars I can't get enough of them! I've had 2 and can't wait to get some more of them. Truly an awesome smoke.

awesome review BTW!

Great review Jitz, you nailed it! The Aņejo's are superbly tasty. I might just have to follow your lead and dig into my special humi and find one for one night this weekend!

They all are.

The single greatest cigar experience I've ever had was with a 2003 Anejo #48 that I smoked back in September. Absolute heaven. Time really makes Anejos sing.
