I have had a few of the different Graycliff lines and have been very uninpressed especially for the price, but this cigar was worth every penny. This is a rich, powerful full bodied smoke with tastes of coffee bean throughoutmakes for a great cigar. What this cigar does have in common with the other Graycliff brands is that it burns perfect from start down to the nub, nice greyish/white ash.

I never know how people write those great reviews, but all I can say is that this smoke was so good I smoked to the point that I could not hold it any longer(not because it got hot, never did) but because it was slipping out of my fingers it was so small. The only drawback is the high sticker price.

They're a bit pricey. I still like 'em though. They have a real "sneaky" stregnth to them. IMO.

I dont know fellas, i have to disagree. I had a pirate, and was very unimpressed. I tasted very close to a Partagas Black to me. And i'm not saying its a bad smoke, i just think for the money, i should be grinning from ear to ear.

I scored a fiver from the Devil Site a while ago. The first one was awful. No smoke, little flavor and I was relighting it every few puffs. I turned out to be a dud stick that must have been soaking wet from shipper.

My next was much better (after about 2 months sleep time). No burn problems but I really wasn't enamored. A $25 stick should have you grinning from ear to ear. I expect a little sweetness from a dark maduro like this with a lot of flavor.

It was very much like Partagas Black now that I remember. Nice, but not $25 nice.

This would also be my thoughts..Nice stick but the Partagas black is just the same....And better priced...

I agree with you, on both counts: the other Graycliff lines are simply not worth the ridiculous prices. The Espressos are also ridiculously priced, but I do find the unique taste they offer to be worth it as an occasional cigar.

You can sometimes find these discounted too, which is nice. These Shagfoots are nice too.
