Dunhill Signed Range Robusto Review
The Skinny:
Cigar: Dunhill Signed Range
Origin: Nicaragua
Size: Robusto 4.5 x 52
Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Cameroon
Filler: Domincan Republic & Nicaragua
Pre-Light: Upon inspection of this cigar you realize how well constructed it is. The lines of the cigar are flawless. The cigar itself is a tad veiny, and reddish brown in color with some dark lines which gives the cigar a brindle look. The scent of the wrapper was cedar, while at the foot is was cedar with faint spices, perhaps cinamon. I cut the cigar with a hole punch and the draw was firm with woody and nutty tones on the draw.
The Smoke: Upon lighting this cigar the first thing I noticed was the scent of the smoke itself. It was very pleasing to the nose. It reminded me of a fireplace in the winter. This might of been the first cigar this year where the smoke caught my nose. As far as my palate the first third of the cigar had caramel and wood tones while the second third coffee was introduced. As the cigar finished I was left with coffee and cinnamon.
Overall: From first light this was a full bodied cigar. With notes of caramel, coffee, wood, and cinnamon this cigar is definitely not your fathers Dunhill. Dunhill has a winner of a cigar and is currently one of the best I’ve had this year.
