Cuesta - Rey Vintage Centenario No. 60 Review

Cuesta - Rey Vintage Centenario No. 60 6X50 Toro

Handmade in Dominica by Fuente y Newman
Wrapper: Connecticut Shade
Binder & Filler: Dominican
Humidor Conditions: 62-71% RH @ 62-70°F since September 2005

What an exceptional mild smoke!! For those of you who are looking for a very flavorful mild cigar, I don’t think you can go wrong with this C-R. V.C. These cigars have been treating me right since I received them back in Sept. of ’05. All these cigars I have smoked possessed wonderful construction, easy-smooth draw, and great flavor ; including this one.

Fired this one up in the warm Oregon spring sunshine just a couple hours ago after work. The flavor of this smoke was punctuated by light spice w/ a sweet caramel-hazelnut like undertone . The Connecticut shade wrapper offered a buttery smooth finish . As usual, it was just awesome. I have read some negative reviews about this particular C-R but I have not come across one yet out of this box that I have not enjoyed. I can’t wait to try the EMS (Cameroon) version !

Mike, I agree with you. I enjoyed the Vintage Centerario also. Thanks for the review.

I am a big fan of Cuesta Rey. I think they are a very under rated cigar.

My local B&M buddy turned me onto one of those last week and i really enjoyed it. Very nice construction and really smoked nicely for me. Mine was a little pricey at around 8 bucks though, so I won't be buying a box for now.

Nice review. I like the whole Cuesta-Rey family. Mild bodied but full flavored. Especially the Sun Grown Centrafino.

Anyone who likes them should consider joining their Cigar Connoisseur Club. 4 cigars and a really nice golf shirt for $18.
