Thumbs up Punch Gran Puro Rancho Review

Being this is my first post please bear with me

For the past 2 months I've been on a cbid kick. I had to of tried 20 different cigars and this one REALLY stood apart from the rest. For starters the cigar seemed like a beauty - oily, firm (but not too firm),great aroma and even the band was nice. First thing I did was get a fresh cup of coffee. After that I used a punch cutter to cut the end and toasted the foot. Once it was good and toasted I lit the end and had my first couple puffs. WOW! Lots of smoke, a nice smooth and creamy taste with hints of chocolate. The amount of flavor was off the chart and I can't emphasize the word "creamy" enough. Usually any medium to full strength cigar I had finished peppery and/or spicey without the smoothness this stick had. The construction was flawless. Nice even burn, no touchups and good firm ash that held on for around 2 inches. I'm curious if anyone had the same experience with this cigar that I did.

Based on this review can anyone recommend other cigars. I'm always out to try new brands.

Great Review. Welcome to CS. Haven't tried this Punch yet. You made it sound pretty damn good!! Try the El Rey Del Mundo Rothchild, Hoyo De Monterey Dark Sumatra, Maria Mancini, the new Bolivar (make sure you age them), Bolivar (Honduran), Mayorga, Saint Luis Rey Reserva Especial, Sancho Panza, and for a special treat Fuente Don Carlos. All of these are a sample of my favorites. Long Ashes and welcome again!

Re: Punch Gran Puro Rancho

Punch Gran Puro are one of my favorites. Great aroma and tons of flavor especially for a puro. About my only complaint in this line is the draw. The draw on these has, in my experience, been too easy and therefore it burns a bit fast and hot. I have to slow down and draw very slowly to control this. Especially in the Libertad vitola. This really suprises me since in general Punch cigars are always constructed very well.

Re: Punch Gran Puro Rancho

I had a Gran Puro "Santa Rita" for the first time the other day. Its 4 1/2 x 52 I believe. I really enjoyed it. So I'm tinking of trying the Rancho, mainly because you get a little more smoke time. Lots of flavor in the Santa Rita, never a dull moment.

Loudee:
Good review. I haven't had a gran puro yet either, and the info in your review will help me decide if I should pull the trigger on these. Welcome to CS.

Re: Punch Gran Puro Rancho

A fantastic smoke, forget any preconceived notions you have of the regular Punch line. These are by far a much better smoke. If you blind tasted these against the regular Punch you would swear that they're not from the same family tree, never mind the same parents.
My only regret with these cigars is that they don't go for bargain prices on the devil site.
I hope your review will inspire others to try this cigar. I love it.

Re: Punch Gran Puro Rancho

The Rancho is my favorite of the Gran Puro line. Really good smoke especially if you let them sit for a couple months.
