Natural by Drew Estate, Dirt Torpedo (my first review)
Some people say these cigars are infused, others say they aren't. It sure smells like it's infused, but some say that's due to the unusual exotic tobaccos used in this stick. Either way, here's the review:
SIZE: 5 x 54 Belicoso ORIGIN: Nicaragua FILLER: International Blend APPEARANCE: Dark wrapper, Appears well constructed, minor visible veins SMOKE TIME: 1 Hour STRENGTH: Mild PRE-LIGHT: Exotic spice scent, less pronounced scent at foot, good draw. Tip of cigar is lightly sweetened. Smell makes me think of carrot cake. LIGHT UP: I think maybe I blew the cut, becuase the cigar wanted to unravel after I snipped it. I did my best to keep it together until I finished it. ![]() FIRST THIRD: Very white ash that held for about 1 1/4" before I tapped it off to correct a crooked burn. This cigar is exceptionally smooth and mild, but with very interesting flavors of exotic spice. The sweetend tip leaves a bit of an aftertaste, leaving me with notes of Alpha-Bits cereal. I paired this cigar with a Hite "Black Beer" Stout, a Korean Guiness clone. A good match. This cigar has me thinking of spice cake and fall colors. ![]() SECOND THIRD: The cigar picked up some strength here, becoming mild-med. The sweetness is beginning to wear off from the tip. Still has some hints of clove-cinnamon spice, but not a prominent as before. About 1/2 way through, the spice has worn off and has changed to a more earthy flavor. ![]() FINAL THIRD: Like a rollercoster, this thing is changing pretty rapidly now. The spice flavors kicked up for a couple of puffs, then were replaced by the earthy flavor, with only slight spice. I had one puff that had an acrid charcoal taste. By this time all the sugar is gone from the tip. With about 1 1/2" - 2" remaining, the cigar was getting hot and I couldn't keep the wrapper together any longer. END OF SMOKE. IMPRESSION: infused or not? Seems very lightly infused. A nice mild stick, wouldn't recommend to people who don't like infused cigars. I'll be trying one of these again, hoping I don't damage the wrapper while cutting. I really enjoyed the scent and taste of the cigar. |

great review.. thanks!
I was surprised to find that I actually liked the Dirt Torpedo quite a bit. As with all Natural lines, they are "not" infused.. they claim it is the tobacco being from different and seldom used places.. |

Nice review. I like the Jucy Lucy. Small (3") but lots of flavor.

Re: Natural by Drew Estate, Dirt Torpedo (my first review)
I like the Lucy as well. Drew Estate's cigars are constructed VERY well. Even their "low end" LVH line is very nice looking. I like their cigars quite a bit, minus the acid.
