Thumbs up CAO Vision Prana Review (with pics!)

The other day I had a CAO Vision Prana (torpedo). It measures 6.25" with a gauge of 52.

My comments: Overall it was a buttery smooth, mild-medium cigar. The pre-light draw was amazing! It had a good draw throughout the cigar, not too tight yet not too loose. The only big problem I had with this cigar was a HUGE vein starting at the head of the cigar running throughout to the foot. And the ash didn't hold up as well as I had hoped. The ash kept falling off. What was really unique about this cigar was that it was serial numbered. I am guessing I smoked cigar #143896. Personally, I'd definitely smoke the CAO Vision again, But I wouldn't go out of my way just to get one though. It is a good cigar overall, and I'd give it a 7.5-8 out of 10.

Upon toasting/lighting, there was a big toasty flavor that I enjoyed for the next 10-15 minutes. The draw was still very smooth and producing LOTS of smoke. Somehow, I started to detect a slightly sweet taste that I could not put my finger on.

There is the annoying vein!

At about the 1/3 to middle of the cigar, the ash unexpectedly fell on me. After the ash fell off, the cigar really started to heat up...but it isn't overwhelming. It still has a light toasty taste too it.

Starting off past the half-way point, it suddenly gets spicy and heats up. Which was definitely a good change, since I felt the cigar was going one-way the first half. The toasty flavor is slowly going away and changes into a roasted, maybe even a leather taste to me.

Finally the last 1/3rd! The roasted/leather taste is still there, and it's really started to heat up at this point. However, the spiciness has left. Still enjoyable down to the nub!

The End.
