L.G.C. Glorias Petit Maduro Review
Okey Dokey... I think I've resolved the font issue. <G> Sorry if I accidentally startled anyone with the huge font.
/*================================================= =================*/ /*========================== CIGAR_REVIEW ==========================*/ /*================================================= =================*/ DATE: 2006/05/07 REVIEWER: Timothy "Texan_To_The_End" Piper CIGAR: L.G.C. Glorias Petit Maduro SIZE: 4.5" X 32 ORIGIN: Dominican WRAPPER: Ecudoran BINDER: Nicaraguan FILLER: Dominican, Nicaraguan SHAPE: Small Panatella AGE: In my humidor since 2005/06/27 VENDOR: Local B&M about .90 cents each. AMBIENCE: 8AM on a sunny Sunday morning. Front porch rocking chair, warm and a bit humid. BEVERAGE: Black coffee APPEARANCE: Hard lumpy black wrapper which was almost black. PRE_LIGHT: Not much taste or smell except for the maduro wrapper chich might have been dipped in cocoa. DRAW: As with most of these tiny cigars, an easy draw. This does make it easy to smoke them too fast. FIRST_THIRD: This little cigar has a very similar taste profile to the Santa Rosa maduro except for no coffee taste. Creamy smoke and a buttery/cocoa taste. SECOND_THIRD: Smoke taste developed into really buttery flavor that went perfectly with the coffee. FINAL_THIRD: With a cigar this small, it was finished before I got to the final third. <G> BURN: Too small to have any burn problems. ASH: Light grey solid ash with yellow center. SMOKE: A lot of smoke for a cigar this small. STRENGTH: Mild FLAVOUR: More of that gooood cocoa-butter. FINISH: The taste of these mixed with morning coffee is a thing I really enjoy. I usually have about three of these per week with an early morning cup. SMOKE_TIME: 35 minutes. IMPRESSION: I plan on keeping these stocked for the occasions when a small cigar is called for. I'm not sure how age will effect them, but I have a few tins put back for age testing. I smoke these new or from the humidor and they don't vary in taste. An extremely consistent tasting cigar. RATING: 7 out of a possible TEN wooden matchsticks. COMMENTS: The only negative about this cigar is that the almost black wrapper bleeds color onto lips or fingers. You need to check the mirror after smoking. <G> /*================================================= =================*/ /*============== BEST VIEWED IN LUCINDA CONSOLE FONT ===============*/ /*================================================= =================*/ Last edited by Texan_To_The_End; 05-08-2006 at 08:27 AM.. |
