After hearing so many comments on Taboo cigars (and special forces in particular) I finally made my first order. After letting them sit for a week or two I couldn't wait any longer and decided to light one up.
Setting: Beautiful, warm day finally arrived in Nebraska. Sitting outside in lawn chair, drinking a coke. Prelight: Stick is dark, firm, and oily. Looks and feels solid and very heavy in the hand. Aroma is pleasant and very tobacco-y. After clipping the draw is very solid. I toast the foot with a couple wooden matches and it lights easily. The foot stays lit for several seconds even after removing the flame like it's producing it's own fuel. (much more than usual on this effect) This reminded me slightly of a Famous Nic 3000 but a little lighter. Lots of pepper flavor coming through. Also a bit of another slightly creamy taste, best described as a dark-vanilla... whatever that means. Overall not too complex and the flavor varies a tad as it burns. But it's a good flavor and completely enjoyable. Ash holds firm. There were some burn problems. Part of this was the wind. I've also read others had the same problem but they get better after sitting a bit, which I plan to do with the other Tatoos. Smoked a Padron later in the same wind and it burned perfect so I'm guessing I should have let it rest more. Also, the smoke was a little thin. Overall this was a very good cigar. I'd give it a solid 4/5 rating and is in the top 20% of cigars I've had the chance to smoke. I would suggest it to a friend who enjoys peppery cigars. I certainly plan on buying more down the road. P.S. This is my first review on here, so please excuse my noobness at this. ![]()

I am a huge fan of Taboo cigars. You definitely need to try some of their other cigars. Thanks for sharing the review!

Re: Taboo Special Forces
I smoked a SF Original couple weeks ago and when I went back up to Fort Worth, I hit up Taboo and picked up 6 more. Def a good smoke. Also picked up some of the Exotic Blends Original and II's.. Have a few twists in the cooler also.

Re: Taboo Special Forces
Also a fan, thanks for the great review. I put the twist towards the top of the list. Recently tried the Limited reserve Conn. and Havana selection and found they are very good. Next on list is the Cameroon. Thnx again.

Rob is a class act all the way and his cigars are great. I smoked a Twist last night and it was a wonderfully constructed cigar. Tasty too.
