Thumbs down Cohiba Red Dot Review

Cohiba Red Dot
Londsdale Grande 6 1/4 X 47
Dominican Republic

After sitting in my humidor for 4 or so months i really expected something from this stogie. In the past I have had mixed results with this stick in the past, the best result being a very tasty cigar filled with the taste of nuts. This however was not the case today, what i got was a bland tasteless stick that I chucked after an inch and a half . Hope that my last one will shape up better...

Yep, there's not usually much to these. Very mild...

Is the red dot just the standard NC Cohiba?

I agree with your review, I had a churchill and thought that at $15 apiece, this cigar might be the biggest ripoff in the industry when it comes to NC's .

I didn't like it them either. Just thought with the name and the price they would be so much more.

Re: Cohiba Red Dot Review

Ive tried a couple of these and didnt get a whole lot outta them. Kinda bummed. I tried some Pequenos in Red and Black for winter time and thought the Black was ok but not great. The reds were not good at all in that size. I think there may be way to much hype with this brand. Ill never buy them again.

"Rated 91. Well made with a good draw, this cigar has a solid core of distinctly nutty flavors that have an underlyting creaminess. Frentch peanut notes and a touch of caramel on the finish make this a very tasty medium bodied smoke." - Cigar Aficionado, August 2007

Really? I found this hard to beleive until i looked through a CA and saw all the dominican Cohiba full page advertizements.... hmmmm?

I must agree with you. It's very one-dimensional, too.
