Aurora Barrel Aged Review

Decided the make an Aurora Barrel Aged my last smoke of the evening.

A little history:

Handmade in the Dominican Republic, these cigars are blended by our good friend, Jose "Big Chief" Blanco. These cigars are called Barrel Aged, because all of the tobaccos are aged in rum barrels for a full year before rolling commences.

Shape: #4 (Corona)
Size: 5.75 X 43
Burn: Good
Draw: Perfect
Construction: Flawless

This cigar was good, but not really my cup of tea.

The wrapper had kind of a sourdough taste to it.

The first 2/3 had a lot of oak flavors and a hint of cedar.

The last 1/3 had a little pepper, but not much.

Perhaps the Pepin JJ maduro I smoked right before this cigar took something away from it - I don't know. I have a few more, and next time I'll smoke it first and see if that makes a difference.

I've only had 2 of these but they were both excellent.

i just had my first Aurora yesterday....the leonino...not to bad....thanks for the review....

I thought it was an ok cigar, but would rather spend my money on some of their other cigars instead. Nice review.
