DAVIDOFF WINSTON CHURCHILL NO. 10 CONNECTICUT ROBUSTO
Decided the fire up one of these after lunch. I had my first one (Gran Corona) a few weeks ago and thought it was the bomb. Tasted just like the AVO LE 08 to me. A little history: Davidoff, pays homage to the world’s best known cigar smoker, Sir Winston Churchill. Made in the Dominican Republic from a harmonious balance of patiently aged Nicaraguan, Peruvian, and Dominican long fillers, Winston Churchill is finished with a duo of spicy, Cuban-seed, Sungrown tobaccos. Hendrik Kelner, Davidoff’s resident Cigar Master and blender extraordinaire, chose a wrapper-quality Dominican Sungrown Criollo binder and an almost iridescent, amber colored Ecuadorian Sungrown wrapper to give the Winston Churchill a sophisticated complexity without equal. Winston Churchill is available in four sizes, each named for an important place or chapter in Sir Winston’s life. This robusto (No. 10) just didn't cut for me. The wrapper is VERY thin and brittle. It's a medium-bodied cigar with hints of vanilla and creme, and slight spice. Shape: Robusto No. 10 Size: 5 1/4 X 52 Draw: Slightly Loose Burn: Good Construction: Good I think this cigar is way overpriced. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

This is currently my favorite cigar. I agree with everything said including the statement about it being overpriced. I am curious how you smoke them so close to the end. Don't they get bitter and hot to you?

The trick is not to pinch the entire width, but just a tiny corner. That way you don't have all that head going right to your fingers.

I agree with the review. Went to my B&M a few months ago and the owner was pushing these like crazy (not a good thing usually). I bought a few and let them rest. After 2 of them so far I was very underwhelmed and even crushed one out about half way through in favor of something better. Lacked flavor, lacked personality, just very blah to me. And yes overpriced I think.
