Tres Hermanos Numero Dos Review

Tres Hermanos Numeros Dos

Ring Gauge - 52/64
Length - 5 3/4
Purchased - The Cigar Factory (New Orleans)
Price - $5.30 USD
Aged - 3 years 8 months in my humidor.

Construction - Blended filler consists of Dominican, Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco with a Mexican maduro wrapper. The wrapper was slightly oily.

Flavour - Medium to full bodied cigar with some spicy notes of nutmeg. The after taste is very peppery. This pepper bomb made my tongue tingle. Quite nice.

Burn - Even burn throughout the entire cigar. Cigar smoked for 45 min.

Draw - This cigar is nice and firm. The draw was slightly tight. This particular cigar was cored and definitely contributed to the tight draw. This cigar needs to be cut.

Overall I enjoyed this smoke. A good bang for your buck, if you enjoy a peppery full bodied cigar. I purchased two of these cigars on a trip to the big easy in 2005. I smoked one of them immediately and did not enjoy it. It was very harsh and burned my mouth. It may have been due to the fact that I was a cigar newbie at the time or because it was not aged. I do think this smoke requires aging. 3 1/2 years may be excessive but it certainly did not hurt it.

I haven't heard much talk about this cigar and would be interested to hear what others think of it.
