CAO Brazilia Box Press Review
By now I'm sure there have been 100 Brazilia reviews on here but this is my first time smoking it other than the little Cariocas, which I have devoured.
Had this in the humi since December, love the box pressed look so I suppose I never had the heart to smoke it until now when it's warm outside and I can just sit and relax. Prelight: Smells AWESOME! So rich and hearty. Beautiful wrapper, well made, and of course the squared edges. Sitting for several months, this cigar is oh so supple and nice to touch. ![]() First Half: Holy wow. This is a stupendous smoke...why have I not started on these yet?!?!? I've heard good things about it but I'm really loving this. Full-flavored but not at all overpowering. Sooo creamy, slight sweetness and meaty taste. Flavor stays on the palate but doesn't get harsh, light sweetness lingers after I get the hint of meat flavor. Delicious. I am loving this cigar! Second half: Burn starts to get a little funky, which is a shame as the first part burned and ashed beautifully. I correct and continue on. Flavors are more subdued now and towards the very end it gets a little bitter but not unpleasantly so. If I could get that first 30-45 minutes for the whole stick I think I would have just passed out from the joy of it all. Flavors weren't necessarily complex or developing but those initial tastes were great and stayed with it throughout. I was expecting this to be a lot more full-bodied than it was...definitely full on flavor, in the best way! I really hope the next one of these I try doesn't disappoint...this is one of the best cigars I've had in a while. Perhaps I just lucked out? I know a lot of people like 'em. If you would have asked me 30 minutes in how I was feeling I probably would have sung you 'Ode to Joy'. I'm tempted to stock up! Would love to hear everyone else's thoughts on this...I know the blend is a favorite of many. ![]() |

Yep. Lots of folks love them here, myself included!
Try a 601 Blue label sometime. They are in the same flavor family, and are truly delicious. |

Brazillia is a good smoke, I had the Gol and will be picking up more when I have room in the humi. Nice review and glad you enjoyed the cigar.

Quote:
All I had on me was a dinky little plastic guillotine which couldn't fit the box-press end all the way in, so I had to put it in my mouth and then fit the squared end into the tiny-gauge circular cutter. It didn't yield the most attractive cut, that's for sure... |

Re: CAO Brazilia Box Press Review
The Brazilia line is always good, but I think that the Box-Press is the best of the bunch. However, I have only had one box-press, but it was amazing. Nice Review!
