Holts Old Henry Maduro

Just finished one of these about 30 minutes ago. I have to say straight off the bat I am impressed! I got it in the Four Seasons sampler and was looking forward to trying it due to a few other posts here from people saying they were pleasantly surprised by them.

The stick I would classify as full bodied. Maybe it's just me, but I found it more full bodied than RP's The Edge. I've smoked some seriously full bodied smokes in my time and this was by no means a killer or anything. But, I mention this because most cigars listed as full bodied I tend to consider medium. So it was nice to see a full kick coming through in both taste and nicotine hit. It starts off slightly sweet, like Maduro's generally are. About an inch and a half to two inches in it takes on this wonderful taste that is, the best I can explain it, like an Arturo Fuente Hemmingway mixed with Nicaraguan filler. It's so nice and smooth, yet full bodied. The last third takes on more of the Nicaraguan taste, with that Hemmingway flavor still mildly there. It's almost like the Nicaraguan taste at that point is somewhat like a Padron, but not exactly. There were a lot of other fleeting tastes going on but I wasn't writing anything down as I smoked so I apologize for not giving a more in depth review.

All I can say is I definitely plan on picking up a box soon. Or before at least a 5 or 10 pack. I would highly suggest trying these out! They certainly rank among the higher priced offerings out there IMO.

Made by Pepin Garcia right? Ive only smoked a handfull of his stuff and so far ive liked them.

Yep, but I've had a bunch of Pepin's, and while they were good, they were nowhere near as impressive as this one.

Haven't tried the Maduro yet, the naturals are great though.
