Macanudo Gold Corona

This is another stick from the "bomb" Bill gave me. I needed to smoke something mild tonight cause the Dr. told me no stimulants!! Thats another story Ill get into someday. LOL So I smoked this while drinking a pitcher of tea!! This corona turned out to be mild but flavorfull. The first quarter inch I thought about tossing it out but then it picked up a bit. Very woody is the best I can describe it but it had moments of spice. Then the last third turned really sweet....almost peanut buttery? Strange. I took it down to an inch and a half and just couldnt take the taste anymore. Never had one taste like that yet. Over half of it was great for a mild cigar. I just wasnt happy with that last little bit. Very well made cigar though. Very smooth and firm. I think ill stick with my 5 Vegas Golds for my go to mild smoke.

Re: Macanudo Gold Corona

I've only had a few Macanudo. They are a great cigar for the price. Burn and draw well, and are excellent mild cigars. I have moved away from the mild cigars though, just don't do it for me anymore. I think if I really needed a mild cigar, I'd go with a Cusano 18...or even better yet, a Taboo Connecticut Reserve!

Re: Macanudo Gold Corona

Thanks for your review. I really have to be in the mood for a Mac but normally prefer a Nub Con. for a milder smoke.
