Los Imperialistas by Pepin Review

Los Imperialistas by Pepin

A little history....

Los Imperialista Cigars is a brand owned by Jesse Wills of Atlanta, Georgia. Jesse has had cigars made for him by Jose Pepin Garcia since 2003, when cigar smokers didn't know who Don Pepin Garcia was. Originally, Los Imperialista was made in Pepin's Miami factory, but are now made alongside San Cristobal, 601, Tatuaje Red Label and others in Pepin's Nicaragua factory. This brand is made for Mr. Wills and is only available at a select few retailers in the Southeastern United States.

Shape: Robusto
Size: 5 X 50
Draw: Perfect
Burn:
Perfect
Construction: Great

Wrapper: Cuban-seed Nicaraguan
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan

This is a great medium to full-bodied cigar. Hints of dark chocolate and pepper throughout.

Need I say more?

Thanks for the review. The part about hints of dark chocolate and pepper throughout sounds soooo good.

Based on your excellent photos and words this looks to be a wonderful experience. That is one handsome cigar.

I can't help but notice the artwork on the band, that along with the name "Los Imperialistas", which literally translates as "The Imperialistic ones" has me wondering…

Re: Los Imperialistas by Pepin Review

Another one on my list of "must-try". Is it available on-line?

I got a kick from the name for this line of smokes!

Yeah I noticed that too.

From the name and band art, I would sort of expect the Castro brothers to put out a cigar: "The Imperialists" (image of the Great Seal on it). And they would make it the shittiest cigar in their lineup to try and associate us with crappy cigars.

Well, that was a bit of a tangent.

I'm glad this one isn't like that, though. Still a goofy name if you ask me. Glad it smokes well, thanks for the review!
