Padilla 1932 Churchill

What a fantastic smoke! I recently won a 5'er from the Devil Site. When I came home from work, I found the box on my doorstep. I usually let my winnings sit for a couple of weeks before I burn them, but I just couldn't wait. I have to say I was a bit disappointed when I opened them and realized they were the newer version. I was thinking I had won the Pepin-made variation, but I was still wanted to try one, after all the glowing reviews I had read. I am not a gifted reviewer and I apologize for not being able to express all the nuances of the cigar, but let me just say it is the one of the best cigar experiences I have ever had. I want to qualify that statement by saying that I am always leery when I read of someone's experience where words like "best" or "greatest" are used in describing a cigar. I know that while some sticks may taste great one time, the next time they are burned they may be found lacking. This may be true for the Padilla, but this stick was simply..."perfect." I honestly cannot imagine the original Pepin Padilla being better. Forgive the photo. A little blurry on my iphone. I am buzzing like crazy, but not in any way nauseous. Maybe it is the Knob Creek! I am still wanting to try the Pepin blend, but am totally satisfied with the current version. Please excuse me while I get my Xicar scissors and nub the final 3rd!

Great review for one of my favorite cigars. It's good to hear that the new version is just as good as the old 1932.
