Prelight Draw: Grassy with a slight spice
Straight cut with Xicar Xi2
Drink: Diet Dr. Pepper

Binder : Nicaraguan
Filler : Nicaraguan

Starting out spicy with a bit of a grassy taste to it
1/2" in started to develop a sweetness and grassy taste as disappeared
1" in starting to get sweeter spiciness is staying the same. There is a nice white ash
and a decently even burn.
2" in starting to get a creamier leathery taste to it with spicy still present
3" through smooth nutty flavor is prevelant in the cigar and the spiciness has faded a little
4" More nutty spice disappeared, burnt coffee finish

Pretty good cigar. Id call it a medium bodied cigar with lots of flavor.
Would be good with coffee and definately more of a "breakfast" cigar.
Had very good construction and required ZERO touchups.
It produced a very good amount of smoke and held the ash nicely as the photos reflect.
The draw was perfect and can't complain about that at all.
I would grade it as a B cigar as I can't put it up there with some of my favorites
but it definately will have a place in my humidor especially for the price I got it at.

Nice review. I did not like the first Lot 23 I had but I gave them some rest and they are smoking great now.

Try those Perdomo Corojos you have. I love mine.

Very nice review.

IDK how often you like to do reviews, but it would be interesting to see one on the Camacho pre-embargo and the CAO 65th anni if you ever get around to it

For sure Dom! I've smoked 4-5 of the 65th Anni's before. Have yet to smoke a Camacho Pre-Embargo. I'm still trying to get rid of this stupid cold so my taste is a little off but as soon as I have my taste back I'll fire them for up sure!

I really enjoy the 65th Anny's.. a friend of mine bombed me with a box for my bday last November and smoked half the box and I picked up another box on Cbid since I liked them so much. The Camachos seem like more of a marketing thing but I pretty much stole the box of 25 for $154 off Cbid so it made it around $6 a stick for something that is supposed to smoke similiar to a Liberty according to some friends that have smoked them before. So I dont think I went wrong there. We'll have to see

These Lot 23's are great. My fave size is the churchill, but the belicoso looks great as well. A very nice medium to medium-light stick with tons of flavor!

Tried these a while back and did not like them at all. Got almost nothing out of them even after I rested them.
