Camacho 1962 Pre-Embargo with pics

Camacho 1962 Pre-Embargo 6"x48

Price: $6.16 Scored a box for $154 for 25 on Cbid
Cigarbid.com Auctions - Lot 682723

Wrapper: Corojo
Binder:Criollo
Filler: ???? Cant find exactley what is in it anywhere

Drink: Diet Dr.P
Music: 90's Rock Alt Playlist
Cut: Straight cut with Xicar Xi2
Prelight Aroma: Slightly Leathery
Prelight Draw: Nice draw with slight resistance with a cedary flavor
Appearance: Nice flawless wrapper with shaggy foot and pigtail cap

Starts out with a creamy earthy flavor with just a hit of pepper
3/4" Starting to become more creamy with a caramel finish
1.25" in starting to turn earthy just caught something i cannot describe but was gooood
- catching some floral notes
2.25" in leathery with a slight floral undertone, sweet finish and a little pepper on the back of my tongue
3" Ok at the halfway point, the cigar seems to be falling a little flat
4" Totally flat struggling to finish this thing, if I wasn't reviewing it I would have set it down

Started out good with some awesome flavors but fell flat about halfway through. Very disappointing.
The construction was decent, the ash was kind of flaky with an uneven burn at times.
It did produce a good amount of smoke which was nice.
I set it down a little early.
Final grade C+. I'll revisit these as a general rule I dont like to review cigars the first time I smoke
them for this reason. If I have any better luck I'll update the post.

Thanks for the review Aces.

I was wondering if these are a must buy as far as Camachos go, I guess not.

Welcome back Aces. The filler is Cuban seed Honduran.

Thanks for the review.
But I like them just fine.

Plus I like this part
"I'll revisit these as a general rule I dont like to review cigars the first time I smoke them "

I also try hard to smoke two before I write a review

Re: Camacho 1962 Pre-Embargo with pics

Hi Acesfull! I've only smoked one of these cigars but really enjoyed it so was hoping you'd consider selling what you have left? I'm really not wanting to drop $500 at CI and haven't seen any on Cbid for a while and ran across your post so figured I'd ask. I'm new to the site (hurray for post #1) so if this isn't kosher I apologize!

Yeah I think your first post should be your introduction here http://www.puff.com/forums/vb/new-puffer-fish-forum/ Also asking to buy somebody's cigars as your first post is not a very chill thing to do. Let us get to know you first before you start wanting to buy our cigars.

Everybody here is welcome, just don't want to see anybody get off on the wrong foot.

Welcome to Puff!

Thanks for setting me straight! So what can I buy off you?

I'm only kidding, I'll head to the suggested link & introduce myself.

Na, Im not into selling cigars. Someday I might open a B&M or an online site! They have lots on there usually with a QB of $205 but you can get them cheaper by bidding.. they usually at least have 1 lot of them on there a week. Keep your eyes open

No problem. I'll definately keep an eye out for them in that case. Like I mentioned I really enjoyed them so hopefully after a little time resting in your collection you'll like them too. Definately a good cigar, just not quite work that giant price tag lol
