New Perdomo Grand Cru

Just finished the brand new Perdomo Grand Cru Maduro...
Good looking cigar--not black, just a nice dark coffee color, excellent construction, good draw, perfect burn, hard ash.
Very, VERY mild. Maybe too mild. Vague hints of earth, spice...all in the typical nicaraguan flavor mold, just very little of it.
Picked up a bit after the halfway mark, but not much.
I'll try the corojo next

Re: New Perdomo Grand Cru

My review with photos from a few weeks ago is here.

I've since smoked several Churchills and two Torps. All were consistent with my initial impressions. Although the examples I smoked all started mild and grew spicer, one buddy reported that his first Gran Cru was the opposite...it started with a burst of of pepperspice and then smoothed out. Interesting.
