Tatuaje Havana VI
Hermosos Corona Gorda 46 x 5 5/8" Nicaraguan Puro $7.50 Inspired by Sweet Cigars TGIF thread from earlier, I decided to treat myself to a top shelf selection tonight (er. actually from my humi's bottom shelf...) The week of clouds and rain finally gave way to late afternoon sunshine and cooler than avg. temps. It was a beautiful eve on the porch for an epic smoke, and the Tatuaje did not disappoint. This was an incredibly complex and elegant smoke. The initial impressions were intense with loads of spice. After about 1/4 the cigar mellowed out and offered wonderful nuanced earthy, woody notes that held on to the nub. Spiciness came in and out throughout and was tempered by a balancing sweetness like caramelized sugar. How much aromatic wood can be fit into a cigar? Smoke this one and find out!         |

Nice review! I just smoked my first on these on Friday night, of this size I should say--the Havana VI line is one of my all-time favorites. I'd say this is my 3rd favorite size, behind the Victorias and the Angeles. For some reason the smaller ring gauges seem to have more flavor, at least to me.

Thanks for your review. These are truly awesome cigars. I had one this weekend.
The Hermosos burned a little hotter than the Nobles, which was my first experience with this stick, but highly recommended.
