NUB Habano
Another stick in the ssutton bomb. Thank you. Ive been wanting to try one of these and nobody up here seems to carry them. Construction was awsome. Draw was perfect. Once lit you get a little bit of spice but after a quarter inch it went south. I was really dissappointed. I really didnt like the flavor at all. Its hard to describe what i tasted. It was almost a fruity, almondy, vanilla type thing. and it lasted the whole stick. Sorry folks..dont think ill be tryin this one again. Just wasnt my cup o tea I guess. Id really like to try the Cameroon and Maduro NUBs.

Re: NUB Habano
I just had my first Habano the other night--the biggest one. I liked it allright, didn't love it. Lots of spice, a bit of sweetness and some other flavors I couldn't identify. It did have plenty of flavor, but it didn't knock me off my feet either. I liked it better than the 5 Vegas Miami Knuckle I smoked, that's for sure.
I have less than 10 of them in mixed vitolas and will let them sit a while, but will probably smoke most of them. |

Re: NUB Habano
Great to see a review of this cigar that I agree with. IMO these are just your average $1.00 - $2.00 cigars with great marketing.

Re: NUB Habano
I like Nubs. I wish more manufacturers would embrace this concept of short, fat cigars. My buddy absolutely loves the Habano while I prefer the Connecticut. We've bought some samplers recently & he keeps all the Habanos & I get the CT's.
Oliva (Nub's maker) offers the best "bang for your buck" cigars in the marketplace, IMHO. |

Re: NUB Habano
Smoked the Cameroon 358 yesterday. Really enjoyed it. I think Ill give the Habano and the Connecticut a try next. I was surprised to find that such a stout cigar lasted as long as it did. 1 hour and 20 minutes of smoking this little scrapper was not what I expected, but was a nice surprise. No re-lights, and an even burn for the first and second thirds most of the time. When the burn line got off, it wasnt long before it would even itself out again. I enjoyed the flavors through out the smoke and might have to go pick up another one this week.
