Taboo Limted Reserve La Havana Review

I'm working my way through a sampler. This is the third one I've smoked.

Robusto size. Nice shiny dark wrapper. Pretty smooth with one large vein but no blemishes or soft spots.
Draw was a little tighter than I prefer but it was not too tight and it smoked nice and cool the whole way.
This cigar was really very enjoyable. I love a good maduro and this guy had all the tastes I like. Chocolate, a little espresso and a nice subtle spice. Very smooth and the smoke had a rich body and full mouth feel. As I smoked this one I got some hints of herbs, cherries and a little caramel. The best Taboo I've had so far.
I had this one with a Cuban-style Cafe con Leche and it was a perfect accompaniment.

Arnie,

First of all, thanks for the review. I appreciate everyone that takes the time to review Taboo Cigars.
Anyway, was this the Taboo LR Havana or Maduro Robusto?
Your description does sound like the maduro, but you say Havana in the title.
Also, we have found that the Taboo Limited Reserve Robusto smokes very very close to the C Bolivar Robusto. I would smoke the CC first (slightly milder), then the Taboo.

Thanks again
Rob

Rob,
The cellophane had a label on it that said La Havana, but the wrapper of the cigar was definitely maduro. I wondered about that, but on the Taboo website the La Havana looks pretty dark, so I thought the maduro might be an oscuro cigar. Who knows, maybe the wrong sticker got stuck to the cellophane. Mistakes happen sometimes. So you think I was smoking the Maduro? Maybe I should change the title of the review?

Ok, pm me your shipping info. I am going to send you one of each so we can both know for sure. It sure sounds like you smoked the maduro.
The Havana LR is one of my favs in the Taboo line, especially the Robusto.
Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks
Rob

Re: Taboo Limted Reserve La Havana Review

I think this is one of the Taboos I have not tried yet. I've enjoyed many of the other ones, So I'm sure this one would be right up there with the others!
